Become a Volunteer!
Attorneys, We Need You!
Pennsylvania will celebrate Pro Bono Citizenship Day 2012 on Saturday, March 31, 2012. We are scheduling it EARLY this year so individuals can naturalize in time to VOTE! Join teams of volunteer attorneys at Philadelphia regional, Center City, and community sites to provide free legal assistance to eligible lawful permanent residents who wish to apply for U.S. citizenship.
We need attorneys to:
- deliver a short presentation on the naturalization process during one of our community information sessions
- provide pro bono service to citizenship applicants throughout the naturalization process
This year we are targeting eligible immigrants of limited means in Philadelphia and Upper Darby with our community and law school partners. Attorneys from all practice areas are welcome! You don’t need to be an immigration attorney to participate, as we will be holding FREE training sessions on the naturalization process and fee waivers. Attorneys who attend a training AND volunteer on Citizenship Day will receive 1.5 CLE credits.
