NJ: Open to the Public- Bar Foundation Offers Free Seminar On Buying And Selling A Home Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 7-9 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center, New Brunswick.

NEW BRUNSWICK — The New Jersey State Bar Foundation will present a free public seminar on Buying and Selling a Home on Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 7-9 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center, One Constitution Square off Ryders Lane in New Brunswick.

Among the topics of discussion are the contract of sale, types of ownership such as tenancy in common and joint tenancy, mortgage contingency, the home inspection clause, title insurance and the closing statement.

Speakers include Stanley Fink and Jeffrey Apell, attorneys with extensive experience in real estate law. A question-and-answer period will follow their presentations.

Mr. Fink, a partner in the Clark law firm of Fink, Rosner, Ershow-Levenberg, is a former member of the Board of Consultors of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section and a past president of the Union County Bar Association. He concentrates his practice in real estate, mortgages and related areas. In 2003 he was named Professional Lawyer of the Year by the Union County Bar Association and the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law. He is a graduate of Marietta College and Washington and Lee University Law School.

A partner in the law firm of Apell & Detrick, Mr. Apell is a former trustee of the Burlington County Bar Association. He received the Robert W. Criscuolo Award from that organization in recognition of his dedication and service to the Bar Association and community. He is a frequent lecturer for such organizations as the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Burlington County Bar Association. A graduate of Lafayette College, he earned a law degree from the Widener University School of Law.
