Stewart Nozette, a former government scientist arrested on attempted espionage charges in an undercover sting pleaded guilty today in Washington federal district court. Per plea agreement terms, Nozette will serve 13 years in federal prison.

Nozette previously worked for the Defense Department, NASA and the Department of Energy, will serve 13 years in federal prison, according to the terms of his plea agreement. He was arrested in October 2009. Nozette provided classified information to undercover agents on at least three occasions. He believed he was disclosing sensitive information to Israel.
