Temple University will award 250 four-year scholarships during the next decade to students who live around its North Philadelphia campus, part of a new program to increase the number of city residents with degrees and an effort to give back to the community
The initiative is called the Temple 20/20 Scholarship Program. Starting Fall 2011, about 25 qualifying students will get $5,000 a year. The total value of the scholarships is $5M.
The scholarships will be available to students who live in the 19121, 19122, 19132, and 19133 zip codes at the time of application for admission.
