DENVER – A rural Colorado company pleaded guilty in federal court to violating workplace laws in the death of a 17-year-old boy, Cody Rigsby, who suffocated after he lost his footing and was sucked into a bin being filled with grain in May 2009. Tempel Grain Elevators LLP to pay Rigsby’s family $500K, and over $1.6M in fines to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
